Stuttgart, 27th – 29th September 2011

The huge increment of exhibitors and the increasing number of visitors showed that Composites Europe, which meanwhile took place in Germany the 6th time, established very firm as expert linked communication platform.

From automotive industry, aerospace, wind energy, shipbuilding till sport and leisure – without composites as key industry no industrial sector functions!

Together with our supplier partners Johns Manville and Dipex we surely could give at our booth many impulses and possibilities to our customers and potential buyers for realization of their ideas.

We say Bye and So long till Composites Europe 2013 in Stuttgart.

In this year, JEC, the leading composite show in Paris (29.03. – 31.03.11), broke all records.
Nearly 30.000 visitors came to the exhibition hall at Porte de Versailles and informed themselves at the 1.122 exhibitors from all over the world, about the newest developments in the field of composite.

We as well had a lot of interesting and constructive conversations with our partners LEDA, Polynt, Dipex, AFG Fiberglass, Johns Manville and many others.
All these conversations were embossed with the confidence for an economic growth also in 2011.

At the booth of Polynt, we were introduced as the distribution partner for Polyester and Vinylester resin in Germany.

Our long-term partner, company LEDA showed a new revolutionary Gelcoat-product, called “LEDAPUR”, which combines the excellent characteristics of a Polyester with those of a Polyurethane system.

For the 7th time this event offers the possibility to the 230 participants and 18 exhibitors to the exchange of ideas.

Both days were embossed with interesting expert discussions and we could present our ECR Glas products and special types of resin very well, because FRP proved oneself very good for planning and building pipes, tanks and instruments.

This show continues to be the largest dedicated coatings event in the Middle East and Gulf Region and last but not least for the North-African countries. It is an interesting place for raw material suppliers and equipment manufacturers for the coatings industry.

It was the first time that we attended this exhibition together with our agent ICA – Industrial and Chemical Agencies. In spite of the tense situation in Middle East the mood was very positive. We can confirm that this show provides a fantastic opportunity to network with the industry's world's leaders and promotes the latest paint and coatings technologies for the region’s environmental, manufacturing and industrial needs.

We are really confident that we can realize some concrete connections out of the big number of contacts we had.

On 13^th December 2010 our in continuous intervals hold company party took place in a homelike country inn near Bärnau. We were pampered there with roast goose and roasted beef with onions. The culinary final made a cinnamon parfait accompanied by red wine pears, figs and dates.

The main reason for this little party was the tribute to long standing employees. René Mühlmeier emphasized that in fact the company name is the external signet, but – completely non-orthopedically – the heads behind are building the spine.

For their long standing faithfulness, effort and pep were honoured: Petra Bäuml, Petra Kick, Wolfgang Schmid and Max Ulrich for 20 years, Raimund Kraus for 25 years and Arthur Wettinger even for 35 years seniority. These jubilee celebrating persons could be pleased about a small gratification and a bunch of red and white poinsettias. Also Claudia Wolf, Michael Benker and Hans Hoffman, who unfortunately became ill, are already in the company for 5 years and as thanks they also were allowed to receive flowers.

Also Mr. René Mühlmeier was surprised by his sister, Petra Schmidtkonz with a colourful bunch of flowers, when she reminded him that he is also already working in the family business for more than 25 years.

The final of this party made a festive tombola with the free gifts we received and collected from our business friends during the year. More than 150 awards from ball pen to a kitchen skirt, from the garden lamp to a pampering set had to find new owners. At the end not less persons went home with lots of wins.

During this year’s global trade show for railway transportation LEDA (resin and gelcoat producer) and Mühlmeier for the first time presented themselves at a common booth.

The InnoTrans 2010 showed to the 107.000 visitors out of 110 different countries the newest developments in railway transportation. An increase of 17% of the exhibitors and 20% of the visitors (compared with 2008) signalized a economical boom.

Especially the construction of railway vehicles without composite materials is no longer imaginable. LEDA and Mühlmeier showed with the fire retardant resins (DIN 5510, M1F0), gelcoats, adhesives and the reinforcement materials some of their products out of their complete range.

The new European standard for fire retardant resins (TS EN 45545) will be fulfilled with the LEDA resin until end of this year.

This year JEC in Paris closed with an impressive balance. The fair scheduled a two-digit growth not only concerning the number of exhibitors but also concerning the lots of visitors.
We were allowed to have interesting and constructive conversations with many of our customers at our partners DIPEX, JOHNS MANVILLE, LEDA and others. Here also the increased demand situation for composite materials came into notice.

Besides the already known and approved mould construction system “One Shot” LEDA introduced the new and extremely easy manageable spray gluten “LEDAFIX”.
This spray gluten makes the assembly of RTM moulds much easier, since here a move of glass fibre- resp. core layers will be prevented. LEDAFIX is compatible with polyester- and vinyl ester resin.

Again the „Composite Europe“ fair at Stuttgart showed, that the field of fiber-reinforced plastics is still a growth sector in Germany. The remarkable attendance was reflected in the excellent volume of visitors at our booth.

We are really confident that we can realize some concrete projects out of the huge amount of contacts we have.

The main focus of attention were the timesaving tooling system “One Shot” from our partner LEDA, the three-dimensional Core-material 3D-Core® from company ESC as well as the ECR-Glasfibers from “Abahsain Fiberglass”.

Also in 2009 the composite world meets again in Paris. The positive advice one could see by the crowded walk lines and the strongly visited booths.

We also could welcome many of our customers at the booths of our partners, such as DIPEX, JOHNS MANVILLE, LEDA and so on, for interesting and constructive discussions.

A particular highlight was introduced by our long lasting partner for Resins and Gelcoats, the company LEDA with the demonstration of the tooling system “One Shot”.

This high-performance low profile system allows the building of a complete mould, also in spray-up process, within a short time. With the use of LEDASKIN as a barrier coat (between Gelcoat and resin) you can minimize the use of glass-fibres and at the same time you will improve the quality of the mould.

04./05.04.09 – This compartment meeting consulted particularly to manufactures of pipes, tanks and other constructive solutions built in GRP for the industry.

More than 250 participants from more than 20 countries used the occasion for the exchange of ideas. An important emphasis of the meeting was the sustainability and the requirements connected with that to the GRP-market in Europe.

Mühlmeier used the occasion to present oneself in this interesting environment. The wide range of products, and also special goods of glass fabric, multilayer fabrics made of Advantex and ECR-Glas found a great reminiscence.

Interesting conversations with customers and decision makers of this industrial sector made this event to become a success.

"Light-weight construction" - a key technology for efficiency in material, energy and climate protection“. This was the slogan of the 4th colloquium in light weight construction in Landshut. Nearly 200 participants used this possibility to inform themselves about the latest conditions in the field of light-weight construction.

Mühlmeier used this platform to inform about the light-weight construction in composite technology. The peculiar interest was the topic of core materials in composites. The tridimensional formable core foam (3D-Core®) aroused public interest.
